Known for her joyous laugh, Carol Goodman-Jackson was a co-founder of the DePaul Black Leadership Coalition (DPUBLC) and DePaul’s Black Graduation, reflecting her lifelong dedication to uplifting Black minds and voices. Upon her retirement after 38 years at DePaul, the university recognized Goodman-Jackson's transformational impact on marginalized student populations with the Via Sapientiae Award, the university’s highest honor.
[Carol] nurtured many student workers into staff, encouraged staff as she took them under her wing, she was loved and respected by faculty, and a fierce advocate of DePaul’s students.
