RAMI NASHASHIBI

CO-FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE INNER-CITY MUSLIM ACTION NETWORK (IMAN)

DePaul graduate Rami Nashashibi is a nationally known community organizer and activist. Nashashibi founded the Inner-City Muslim Action Network in 1997 to confront the challenges of poverty and disinvestment in urban communities with programs such as Green ReEntry, a holistic job training, housing, and community development program that centers returning citizens and justice involved youth. In 2017, the MacArthur Foundation named Nashashibi a MacArthur Fellow in recognition of his work.
My path as an activist, community organizer and person deeply committed to racial and economic justice was profoundly shaped at DePaul as was my life-long spiritual pursuits.
