MEN'S HEAD BASKETBALL COACH, LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY

Rod Strickland is a two-time basketball All American for the Blue Demons from 1985 to 1988. He is one of three players in the school’s history to lead the team in assists in three consecutive seasons and is still third on DePaul’s all-time assist list. Strickland was the 19th pick in the 1988 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks. He spent 17 seasons in the league. He retired from the NBA in 2005 and was inducted into the DePaul Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006.
