125TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
We’ve got a week full of exciting events and appearances all across Chicago to help us celebrate. Learn about what’s going on and how you can be a part of it.

We’re taking our anniversary celebration to the ice. The Chicago community is invited to skate the ribbon at Maggie Daley Park — 125 skate rental tickets per session are on us.

What better place to showcase our pride for the city of Chicago, our school and community than in the skyline? Watch Chicago buildings light up downtown to celebrate 125 years of DePaul.

We’re excited to share this historic occasion with all of Chicago. From Wrigley Field to the theatres downtown, marquees across the city are giving us a shout-out on our anniversary.

In recognition of the 125 years of partnership between the university and the city, and the importance of this relationship going forward, the Mayor of the City of Chicago and the City Council of Chicago officially designate January 25, 2023, as DePaul Day.

Alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends come together to help raise $7 million for DePaul students in a single day.

There’s no better way to celebrate anniversary week than with Blue Demons basketball. Watch the women’s team take on St. John’s on 1/21 and the men’s team tip off a rivalry game against Marquette on 1/28.

Once a Blue Demon, always a Blue Demon. This Blue Demon Week, we’ll bring together students, faculty, staff and alumni to celebrate what it means to be a DePaul Blue Demon. Student organizations and departments from across the university will host events for the DePaul community.

Catch us in the news, on the radio and all around Chicago this week. A special thank you to WGN, WBEZ and WFMT for helping us celebrate 125 years of DePaul University.
