Aminah Al-Deen is an emeritus professor in the Department of Religious Studies and a nationally renowned scholar on Islam in America. She was director and the driving force behind the university’s Islamic world studies program. A prominent figure in the American Muslim community, Al-Deen is a prolific author and scholar who has been a tireless activist for justice and a mentor to generations of DePaul students.
