ANN DOWD

CLASS OF 1982

ACTRESS

An Emmy-award winning actress, Ann Dowd, has earned a reputation as a master of her craft. She received her MFA in acting from The Theatre School in 1982 and has been a credit to the program ever since. Recent roles include Aunt Lydia on Hulu’s "Handmaid’s Tale," for which she won an Emmy in 2017 and a Critics’ Choice award in 2018, and HBO’s "The Leftovers."
What Ann does is make the people she plays obvious and complicated wholes, and this is something that’s rare indeed.
