CINDY SUMMERS
FORMER ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT & INTERIM VICE PRESIDENT FOR STUDENT AFFAIRS
In her 32 years as a DePaul staff member and executive in the Division of Student Affairs, Cindy Summers left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her. Beyond her ability to marshal and grow programs, she was also known as a kind and caring leader who looked for the good and positive in students and staff alike. Before retiring in 2014, Summers was instrumental in establishing the office of Health Promotion and Wellness, as well as groundbreaking LGBTQIA+ community services and sexual violence prevention programs. She passed away in September 2018.
