EUGENE JARVIS & SASHA GERRITSON

Eugene Jarvis is an icon in the video game industry who was named DePaul’s first game-designer-in-residence in 2008. His best-known creations include Defender, Robotron: 2084, Smash TV and Cruis’n. Sasha Gerritson is a School of Music graduate who serves as co-chair on DePaul's Board of Trustees and on the School of Music Advisory Board. In 2005, she was honored with the Distinguished Alumna of the Year award. Long-time major supporters of DePaul, the couple recently donated the largest gift in the university’s history. In recognition of their generosity, the college was renamed to the Jarvis College of Computing and Digital Media. Their gift established the Jarvis Student Center for Innovation and Collaboration, an endowed scholarship and a research collaboration with the Ruff Institute of Global Homelessness.
DePaul transformed my life. The amazing professors I learned from, the fellow students I became friends with (some of whom I still see regularly) and the first-rate education I received launched me in the direction of my life's work. I am forever grateful! And I am committed to doing my best to serve DePaul and it's students, endeavoring to pay it forward, in my role as a trustee.
