LYNN NARASIMHAN

Lynn Narasimhan has made a significant impact in mathematics and science education in Chicago. As director of DePaul’s STEM Center, she led a collaboration with the University of Illinois at Chicago aimed at increasing Chicago minority enrollment in AP calculus, among other goals. In her final years at DePaul, she was the principal investigator on grants from The Chicago Community Trust and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to partner with the Department of Mathematics of the Chicago Public Schools on the district-wide implementation of the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics.
