MABEL LANDRY STATON
CLASS OF 1955
OLYMPIC ATHLETE
DePaul alumna Mabel "Dolly" Landry Staton is a track and field legend. While at DePaul, she was a four-time national champion for Chicago's Catholic Youth Organization and competed as a long jumper in the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. Despite the demands of competition and working toward her degree in physical education, Staton still found time to volunteer at Sheil House as an instructor and mentor to young children.
