Mary Navarro stands out because she cares. She is very active in the Lake and Cook County communities, supporting survivors of sexual assault and helping refugees and battered women find shelter. She has taught Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) classes on Chicago’s south side, and volunteered with the Red Cross, MESS Canteen of Lake Forest and the Chicago O'Hare Airport Watch. She graduated with her undergraduate degree from DePaul in 2016 and is currently working to earn her master's degree in nursing from the College of Science and Health.
