PATRICIA EWERS
FORMER VICE PRESIDENT AND DEAN OF FACULTIES
Throughout her 24-year career at DePaul, Patricia Ewers, a proud Chicago native and avid Cubs fan, worked to strengthen the university’s commitment to students, faculty and staff, and make it a better place to learn. She joined the English department as an assistant professor, eventually becoming dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and then vice president and dean of faculties. A passionate sports fan and supporter of female-student athletes, she led the fight to make scholarships available to them and was ultimately inducted in the DePaul Hall of Fame for her efforts in 1993.
