PHYLLIS GRIFFIN
FULL PROFESSOR OF PERFORMANCE, THE THEATER SCHOOL
A graduate from the Goodman School of Drama, before it was reestablished as The Theatre School, with a Master of Fine Arts in acting, Phyllis Griffin has been a voice and speech professor since 1985, directing numerous plays. She is also a vocal and dialect coach supporting actors in major theater, television and film productions, including working with Disney Productions as the vocal coach to prospective actors on the production of "The Lion King." She has also served as a mentor, resource and advocate for students of color for decades and served as DePaul University Black Leadership Coalition chair for two years.
