DALEY FAMILY
The histories of the Daley family and DePaul have long been interwoven. Richard J. Daley, 48th mayor of Chicago, graduated from the College of Law in 1933, and his son, Richard M., was a Double Demon and the longest-serving mayor in Chicago's history. DePaul even named its downtown academic building the Richard M. and Maggie C. Daley Building on Dec. 21, 2010, in recognition of the Daley family’s passion for education, urban revitalization and the arts.
