THOMAS J. MURPHY

Professor Emeritus Thomas J. Murphy joined the Department of Chemistry in 1967, where he taught organic chemistry until his retirement in 2004. Murphy is an extremely knowledgeable environmental scientist who was among the founders of what is now DePaul’s Department of Environmental Science and Studies, currently offering more than 120 undergraduate majors and minors and a successful Master of Science degree program.
