CELEBRATE WITH US ALL YEAR LONG
We’ve got some exciting things planned throughout the year. Learn about all the events happening on campus and in the community including guest speakers, conferences and celebrations.
To celebrate the official start to the new academic year, we invited faculty and staff to welcome new colleagues, honor members of our community and support our mission to serve our students and community.
Faculty and staff came together for food, music and fun activities at the Welcome Back Celebration.
The St. Vincent de Paul Feast Day invited DePaul colleagues, students and friends to pause, reflect and celebrate where we’ve been and where we’re going as a community, gathered together for the sake of a mission.
Our annual weekend-long celebration for students, families and alumni was filled with fun events and activities like a welcome brunch, Blue Demon Bash, trolley rides to Lincoln Park Zoo and more.
The DePaul community kicked off the holiday season with our fifth annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in St. Vincent’s Circle on the Lincoln Park Campus. Festivities included holiday-themed activities, an ugly Christmas sweater party and caroling.
This event featured the talented DePaul Community Chorus, Christmas at DePaul singers, guest soloists, the School of Music’s 40-piece orchestra, as well as staging and lighting from the Theatre School faculty.
Christmas at DePaul is a gift to the community with monetary or requested item donations support the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Food Pantry.
This year, the production was nationally broadcasted on PBS.
Once a Blue Demon, always a Blue Demon. This year, we brought together students, faculty, staff and alumni to celebrate what it means to be a DePaul Blue Demon. Student organizations and departments from across the university hosted events for the DePaul community.
DePaul’s milestone anniversary was celebrated with events, activities and appearances all throughout the city of Chicago.
What started as part of DePaul’s Centennial celebration, has become an annual tradition with over 1,000 DePaul students, staff, faculty and alumni participating in a day of service in the Chicagoland area and cities around the country.
Faculty and staff are invited to gather together as we recognize their accomplishments and celebrate the end of the academic year.
